Representation Learning for
Responsible Human-Centric AI

Call for Papers

The workshop invites contribution to novel methods, innovations, and applications of Human-Centric AI including (but not limited to):

  • Curation and handling for human-generated data (e.g., speech, human-related images/videos such as faces, gait, activities, interactions, etc, wearable, clinical, medical, and health data such as PPG, ECG, EEG, IMU, and others),
  • Learning frameworks such as unsupervised (self-supervised, semi-supervised) learning for human-generated sensor signals & medical data,
  • Learning architectures such as novel networks and loss functions, for human-generated data,
  • Explainable/interpretable machine learning,
  • Fairness, accountability, and transparency,
  • Evaluation and benchmarking of responsible AI development,
  • Responsible human-AI interaction,
  • Theoretical frameworks for responsible AI,
  • Privacy-preserving AI.

Paper formatting and submission instructions

  • The AAAI latex template https://aaai.org/Conferences/AAAI-23/aaai23call/ should be used for all submissions.
  • Two types of submissions will be considered: full papers (6-8 pages + references + unlimited appendices), and short papers (2-4 pages + references).
  • Publication in R2HCAI is considered non-archival and does not prohibit authors from publishing their papers in archival venues such as NeurIPS/ICLR/ICML or IEEE/ACM Conferences and Journals or other non-archival venues such as arxiv or their personal websites. We also welcome submissions that are currently under consideration in such archival venues. Upon acceptance papers will be made publicly available on the workshop website.
  • Submissions will go through a double-blind review process.
  • Submission portal: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/R2HCAI2023/
  • In the submission portal (CMT) you will be asked to enter conflicts of interest, please see here what constitutes a conflict of interest for the R2HCAI review process.
  • Camera ready templates: Latex and MS Word Overleaf (latex) template
